PRESS RELEASE (4/8/2020 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE)LAFAYETTE AVIATORS CREATES PROGRAM TO SUPPORT LOCAL AREA RESTAURANTSLocal baseball team invites fans to help bridge the gap for restaurant owners & employees during the mandated COVID-19 closure.(Lafayette, IN) The Lafayette Aviators has announced the creation of a restaurant support program so local area fans may show their support for their favorite restaurant’s during the mandated COVID-19 closure.Effective immediately, the Aviators are inviting fans, and all local residents to consider purchasing a $25 dollar gift card (or greater amount) from their favorite local area restaurant, and receive (2) free tickets to an upcoming 2020 Aviators ballgame of their choice.“This restaurant program is a way in which we all may show community support for our local restaurant owners and their many employees” said Aviators general manager Ray Carolin. “They have been devastated by the mandated COVID-19 closure” he said. “We invite local area fans to show their love and support for our local area restaurants by purchasing a gift card from their favorite restaurant’s.”The Aviators invite local area fans to purchase a $25 gift card (or greater) online at their favorite restaurant’s website, or purchase a gift card at their favorite restaurants “drive-thru” or “take out” should the establishment still be operating.Once a gift card is purchased, the buyer is directed to send a copy of their gift card purchase receipt directly to the Aviators. They may do this online at the Aviators website (www.lafayettebaseball.com) or they may mail the gift card purchase receipt along with their contact information to the Aviators Lafayette office located at 3318 South Street, Lafayette, IN 47904.
